Activists Made Mother's Day Meaningful!

On Mother's Day 2005, concerned citizens across the country demonstrated at restaurants that sell cruel crated veal, and helped educate consumers about the inhumanity of veal production. Dozens of activists participated, and hundreds of consumers were informed about the suffering of mother dairy cows and their male calves.

While Mother's Day is a traditional day to raise awareness about the plight of veal calves and the suffering the mother dairy cows endure as they lose their babies to the veal industry, you can help stop this cruelty year round:

  • Contact local restaurants that serve veal and urge them to remove crated, white veal from their menu.
  • Contact celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck . Puck is renowned for his haute cuisine, and for his use of cruel animal products, including crated veal and foie gras. Despite pleas from compassionate citizens, Puck continues to promote veal and foie gras and profit from animal abuse.
