"We endeavor to avoid
serving any 'crated' animal products at La Caravelle because we
are concerned for the humane treatment of animals. It has always
been my practice to serve only the finest products and utilize
what nature has provided us to faithfully maintain the integrity
of each and every ingredient. Consequently, neither I nor my team
would engage in incorporating 'lesser' goods on our menu. We actively
encourage our colleagues in the industry to shun the consumption
of “crated veal".

say on what goes on the menu, but if veal was brought up as a
possible item on the new menu, or a daily special at any point
in time at our restaurant, I would advise IHOP Corp. and my employer
that he/she would have to choose between the General Manager or

I am so strongly opposed to. We do offer many other meat products
on our menu, but the handling of these animals doesn't compare
